Wirework Description: Learn the basic techniques of chain making, or refresh your old skills, while creating this stunning bracelet out of Argentium Sterling Silver and 14/20 gold-filled wire. You will start with wire and end with a finished bracelet.
Students will Learn: How to wind wire into coils, cut the coils into jump rings using a Koil Kutter, fuse jump rings, and construct and polish the bracelet. You will practice these techniques using copper wire before making the project using precious metal.
Prerequisites: Some previous experience working with jump rings and making chains would be helpful, but is not required.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, task lamp. Optional: Optivisors, butane creme brulee torch (if you have one).
Pliers: Bentnose, flatnose without grooves.
Materials in Kit: Practice materials, Argentium sterling wire, 14/20 gold-filled wire, instructions.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
