Wirework Description: The difference between the Double Lace, a flat-looking weave, and the Not Double Lace, a roundish-looking weave, is simply a change of direction in one step. Students will choose a weave and use a base metal to construct their bracelet. Optional precious metal kits will be available for purchase from the instructor.
Students will Learn: How to work with jump rings to make a chain; the Double Lace and Not Double Lace weaves; how to polish chains safely.
Prerequisites: Some previous experience working with jump rings and making chains would be helpful, but is not required.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, task lamp. Optional: Optivisors.
Pliers: Bentnose, flatnose without grooves.
Materials in Kit: Practice materials, all components for a brass bracelet, instructions.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
