Glass (other than Lampworking) Description: Get a taste of the torch-enameling technique everyone is talking about, while you play with fire, color, and creativity. You’ll also make a variety of jewelry components, such as pendants, earrings, charms, and buttons. This class is perfect for students who want a fast and energetic look at the torch-enameling technique.
Students will Learn: All about the torch-enameling process; how to work with opaque enamels; create a variety of designs; build an excellent base of skills for future torch-enameling classes.
Prerequisites: Students should feel comfortable working with a torch, small details, and multiple processes at once.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Safety glasses, terry-cloth towel, paper, pen.
Materials in Kit: Steven’s torch enameling DVD. Students will have access to all of the tools and materials (including metal, enamels, and more) needed to create enameled jewelry components.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
