Wirework Description: Use a jig to build a wire-woven base for a ring. Switch out what's inside this ring, based on your mood or outfit. You will keep the jig you use in class.
Students will Learn: How to use a jig for weaving; how to create, use, and extract temporary artmatures.
Prerequisites: Some previous experience with wire is helpful.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Awl, diagonal wire cutters, wire cutter for 19-gauge steel wire.
Pliers: Nylon-jaw wire straightener, small chainnose, standard roundnose.
Materials in Kit: Copper, brass, steel wire; jig; temporary armature; stone beads.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
