Description: Learn the ancient art of wire weaving to create this simple -- but complex-looking -- checkerboard bracelet with sterling silver and gold-filled wire.
 
Students will Learn: Basic wire-wrapping techniques; design; tool use; suppliers.
 
Project will be completed in class.
 
At least 18 years old.
 
Supplies to Bring: Permanent marker (pointed), ruler, work surface, blue painter's tape.
 
Pliers: Small chainnose pliers without grooves, flatnose without grooves, flush end-cutting, nylon-jaw wire straightener, stepped roundnose.
 
Materials in Kit: Sterling silver, gold-filled wire; tutorial.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
