Gluing or Adhesive Description: This class covers multiple techniques to finish Kumihimo braids for bracelets and necklaces. Most techniques do not require any special experience or skills, just a willingness to learn. Only one project requires Peyote stitch; however if you don’t want to do bead weaving, there are enough alternatives to make this class a must for all levels of braiders. Additional session offered Wednesday afternoon, June 5 (B131612).
Students will Learn: Simple and secure methods to attach ends on Kumihimo beaded braids using hand-crafted components and purchased findings. Students will learn through hands-on experience and instructor demonstrations.
Project will not be completed in class.
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Permanent marker (pointed), ruler, scissors. Optional: Findings that you would like to learn how to use with beaded braids.
Materials in Kit: Metal tubing, tube cutter, seed beads, beading needle, big-eye needle, magnets, adhesive.
