Chain Maille

Description: Make a beautiful bracelet that has texture, sparkle, and shine using a combination of string and chain maille techniques. Student will individualize the bracelet by choosing their own color(s) of crystals and most students should be able to complete the project in class.
 
Students will Learn: The basics of chain maille including opening and closing rings, and weaving of the jump rings in a specified manner. Each student will also use some simple stringing to incorporate crystals into the chain maille weave.
 
Prerequisites: Previous simple chain maille experience is helpful.
 
Project will be completed in class.
 
At least 12 years old.
 
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, cutters, task lamp, 10-12 6 mm bicone crystals, clasp.
 
Pliers: Chainnose without grooves, crimping, standard flatnose.
 
Materials in Kit: Silver-filled jump rings, beading wire, wire guards, crimp beads.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
