MacrameŽ Description: This class introduces students to all of the materials, basic knots, and essential techniques required to make beautiful micro-macrame jewelry. After completing several practice samplers, students will work on a pretty bookmark that combines beads with the knot work.
Students will Learn: About the five most important macrame knots, along with several variations; an overview of macrame materials; the bookmark project shows how to create knotted patterns and incorporate beads into the knot work.
Project will not be completed in class.
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, macrame board, scissors, task lamp.
Materials in Kit: Practice cord, quilting pins, embroidery needle, masking tape, bookmark kit including all cords and beads,instructions, knot diagrams.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
