Peyote Stitch Description: Originally used to adorn military uniforms, bridal veils, and clothing, soutache braid has made its way into the jewelry world. Combine braid and beads, then assemble into a soft bracelet, a hard cuff, or a fabulous barrette. Students will Learn: How to set a Swarovski crystal in beadwork; use beads and tiny stitches to make a lovely and easy jewelry piece; discussion on variations.
Materials in Kit: 8/0, 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; soutache braid; Swarovski rivoli; fire-polished or Swarovski Czech coin beads; beading needles; velvet ribbon; brass cuff blank; ribbon crimp ends and clasp, or barrette blank (students can choose in class).
