Soldering Description: Add a metal clay element to a sterling bead frame, and fill it with a bit of polymer using a faux stone technique for a striking pendant.
Students will Learn: How to use polymer clay to make texture plates (students will use the instructor's molds in class); how to texture silver metal clay, torch-fire silver metal clay, do some simple soldering, and create a faux stone effect in polymer clay.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Metal clay roller, metal clay tools, metal files, roller/brayer, work surface.
Pliers: Standard roundnose.
Materials in Kit: Metal clay, sterling bead frame, wire, polymer clay, sanding kit. The instructor's will provide use of ink and powder in class. A portions of this kit is underwritten by Polyform Products.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
