Peyote Stitch Description: This project begins with circular peyote and various bead sizes, causing the work to “cup up” and create Cheeri O shapes that are zipped together on the outside after all the rows have been completed. You will link each successive ring to the previous ring to form a chain, then add a beautiful polymer toggle clasp to finish your bracelet.
Students will Learn: Circular peyote and how to zip it together; how to make and link several rings and attach one-half of the clasp.
Project will not be completed in class.
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, scissors, sticky notes, task lamp.
Materials in Kit: 11/0 cylinder beads and seed beads in multiple colors; 15/0 Japanese seed beads in multiple colors; Nymo D, Sono, One-G, or KO thread; #12 beading needle; microcrystalline wax; polymer toggle clasp.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
