Peyote Stitch

Description: Create this unique, soft, and lacy beaded pendant which resembles a pinwheel. Work four diagonal peyote petals, join with circular flat peyote, fold top to bottom, and you have a pinwheel pendant. The pendant can be worn on a necklace or as a brooch by adding a pin back.
 
Students will Learn: How to create and connect the petals using peyote stitch; how to start the Ndebele herringbone necklace.
 
Project will not be completed in class.
 
At least 16 years old.
 
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, scissors, sticky notes, task lamp.
 
Materials in Kit: 11/0 seed beads in two colors; 15/0 seed beads in contrasting color for necklace; Sono, One-G, Nymo D, or KO thread; clasp; #12 beading needles; microcrystalline wax. Kit will be available in several colors.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
