Description: Students will learn how to take traditional wire wrapping one step further to create an intricate cocoon weave around freshwater pearls with fine-gauge wire.
 
Students will Learn: Learn how to wire-wrap bead links or refine existing wire-wrapping skills, weave wire around beads to create a herringbone pattern wire frame.
 
Prerequisites: Previous experience working with wire is helpful.
 
Project will be completed in class.
 
At least 12 years old.
 
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, flush-cut wire cutters, permanent marker (pointed), ruler, task lamp.
 
Pliers: Chainnose, nylon-jaw wire straightener, standard roundnose.
 
Materials in Kit: Freshwater pearls, sterling silver wire in two gauges, sterling silver toggle clasp.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
