Enamel Description: Want to create your own patterns, images, and custom designs in colorful enamels for amazing focal pieces that are sure to earn the attention of your friends. Additional session on Sunday, June 9th (B131791).
Students will Learn: How to use stencils, rubbers stamps, pierced metal, and paper to create multicolored pieces with layers of torch-fired enamels.
Prerequisites: Previous experience with torch-fired enamel techniques recommended.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Fine-tip marker, paintbrush (fine), paper punches, rubber stamps, task lamp, terry-cloth towel. Students should bring the following items if they have them: Apron, didymium glasses or glasses with calobar lenses. Optional: Magnifiers.
Materials in Kit: Special ink, copper pieces, enamels, mask, butane, handout, enameling tools for use in class. Instructor will supply tools for students to use in the class.
