Metalwork Description: This copper cuff and ring will introduce you to simple metalworking techniques while yielding very sophisticated results. Your cuff will be personalized -- by what you add and how you finish it -- and will be sized to fit you perfectly.
Students will Learn: How to fold, texture, patinate, and rivet metal.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Anvil, bench block, flush-cut wire cutters, hammer, metal files, metal ruler, permanent marker (pointed), rawhide hammer, tin snips. riveting hammer. Optional: Embellishments of your choice.
Pliers: Chainnose, flatnose nylon jaw, small flatnose, standard roundnose.
Materials in Kit: 20-in. copper, rivets, embellishments, polishing cloth. The instructor will provide various patinas for use in class.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
