Wirework Description: Create a bracelet made of “knots” of chain maille. This pattern is suitable for those with fairly limited chain maille experience (beginners can choose to make a single-row bracelet).
Students will Learn: The mobius technique; the Japanese 6-in-1 weave; how to weave segments that swirl in alternate directions in order to create a bracelet that does not twist.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, task lamp.
Pliers: Flatnose without grooves (two pairs).
Materials in Kit: Base metal jump rings in copper, aluminum, or jewelry brass (sterling silver upgrade available for purchase); clasp; instructions.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
