Metalwork Description: Create contrast and dimension in metal with this beautiful pair of pierced and layered earrings. Learn new skills to incorporate into your own jewelry designs, as well as tricks to make your studio practice more efficient. Additional session offered Tuesday evening, June 4 (B131653).
Students will Learn: Piercing, sawing, and finishing techniques; how to make handmade findings. A studio jeweler and metals instructor will guide you through each technique in this information-packed class.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Bench pin, cutters, jeweler's saw, safety glasses. metal hole punch. Optional: Reading glasses.
Pliers: Standard needlenose, standard roundnose.
Materials in Kit: Sterling disks and wire, copper disks, saw blades, emery paper, polishing cloth, instructions with templates.
