Description: Stack two herringbone flowers made with graduated sizes of seed beads, pressed glass leaves, and daggers on a filigree wreath. Add a special lampworked bead for the center, then turn the completed flower into a brooch or make it a focal piece for a necklace or bracelet.
 
Students will Learn: How to make two kinds of herringbone flowers using seed beads in four sizes and pressed glass beads; and how to assemble them on the piece of filigree. One flower is made with flat circular herringbone and the other with tubular herringbone.
 
Prerequisites: Familiarity with herringbone, either flat or tubular, is highly recommended. If you know tubular or flat circular herringbone you should be able to finish this project in class.
 
Project will be completed in class.
 
At least 16 years old.
 
Supplies to Bring: #12-13 beading needles, bead dish, beading mat, scissors, task lamp.
 
Materials in Kit: 6/0, 8/0, 11/0, and 15/0 seed beads; pressed glass flower, leaves and daggers; lampworked bead; filigree wreath; pin back; KO thread.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
