Vintaj Patina can be blended and layered to create endless effects on metal; it is fast-drying, durable, and permanent, allowing you to manipulate the metal into new shapes and emulate naturally patinated elements that would occur over time. Additional session offered Thursday afternoon, June 6 (B131700). Students will Learn: How to blend and layer Vintaj Patina and Glaze to create beautiful and durable effects; how to dab, add relief, punch holes, and rivet patinated pieces into functional jewelry components to create a matching necklace, earring, and ring set. Project will be completed in class. At least 16 years old. Supplies to Bring: Awl, ball-peen hammer, bench block, fine-tip marker, flush-cut wire cutters, paintbrush (flat), task lamp, wooden dapping block, ring mandrel. Pliers: Chainnose without grooves, standard roundnose, 1.5 mm metal hole punch. Materials in Kit: Diamond trellis, garden trellis, and Etruscan filigrees; bird garden cameo; 1/4-in. nail head rivet; pinwheel washer; natural brass wire; embossed natural large circle blank; 6 mm slender oval chain; soaring sparrow; eternity garden ring; jump rings; embossed natural brass small circle blanks; tiny dragonfly charms; tiny copper Nouveau leaves; copper prairie leaves; round loop earring wires.
