Wirework Description: Learn how to set a stone cabochon using this elegant netting technique. Create a wire frame element and then make a wire netting to hold the cabochon in place. This mixed-metal look and clean design will suit many different stones. Additional session offered Saturday evening, June 1 (B131619).
Students will Learn: How to create a frame size for their specific cabochon; and setting the stone using a hand-looping technique.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Optional: Task lamp.
Pliers: Chainnose without grooves, flush side-cutting, bail-making, nylon jaw bracelet-bending.
Materials in Kit: Stone cabochon, wire. Students will have a choice of stones.
