Wirework Description: This edgy bracelet was first introduced on Beads, Baubles & Jewels and now it's available to you. Leather tiles are connected with crystal rivets through steel wire connectors and finished with a steel clasp you make on the Now That's a Jig. Project may vary slightly from that as shown in photo. Students will Learn: How to apply SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystal rivets using an applicator designed by Jewelry Things; steel wire forming and forging; precision rivet application.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Ball-peen hammer, bench block, cutters, metal files, ruler, safety glasses, task lamp, writing materials. Do not bring tools you intend to use again on fine wire. Instructor will have some tool sets, including heavy-duty cutters, available for purchase in class. Optional: Magnifiers.
Pliers: Bentnose, chainnose, standard roundnose. Pliers need to be dedicated to steel wire.
Materials in Kit: 16-gauge steel wire, steel wool, wire brushes, ear plugs, cleaning cloth, renaissance wax sample, marking material, rivets, leather. A portion of this kit is underwritten by SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.
