Wirework Description: Create a beautifully woven circular pendant. Personalize the design by adding a mix of beads in your choice of colors and shapes. Additional session offered Wednesday evening, June 5 (B130455).
Students will Learn: Basic basket-weaving techniques, focusing on mastering correct tension and spacing between wires.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with basic wire techniques is helpful, but not necessary. No weaving experience required.
Project will not be completed in class.
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring: Fine-tip marker, flush-cut wire cutters, masking tape, needle tool, ruler, task lamp, work surface, a mix of 15-30 3 mm to 6 mm beads. Optional: Optivisors.
Pliers: Chainnose without grooves, flatnose without grooves, standard roundnose.
Materials in Kit: Sterling and fine-silver wires, handout.
