Wirework Description: Inspired by colorful tropical birds, these peyote-stitched dangly earrings are surprisingly light and fun to wear; very fashionable too! Additional session offered Friday evening, May 31 (B130658).
Students will Learn: How to use various beads to make a dimensional peyote-stitched dangle.
Prerequisites: Peyote stitch and basic wire skills.
Project will be completed in class.
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring: #12 beading needles, small bags (reclosable), bead dish, beading mat, clear nail polish, cutters, Fireline 6 lb. test, head pins, scissors, task lamp, Thread Heaven, writing materials, earring wires (gold or silver color). Optional: Reading glasses.
Pliers: Chainnose without grooves, flatnose without grooves, flush end-cutting, standard needlenose, standard roundnose.
Materials in Kit: 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads, 8/0 cylinder beads, two 10 mm crystals, 4 mm Swarovski crystals, teardrop wire dangles. A portion of this kit is underwritten by SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.
